Invited for discussion – Wut-Wirt continues: “I’m not taking anything back!”

Date:

The racism scandal at the Millstätter See keeps the waves rising. The incident – a landlord does not want to allow “vegans, hippies, ecos and Arabs” in his restaurant – becomes the subject of discussion in the city theater of Klagenfurt.

Millstätter Wut-Wirt Stefan Lercher’s Instagram posting is drawing wider circles. As reported, he announced that he would no longer allow vegans, hippies, eco’s and Arabs in his restaurant, and for this he received a lot of criticism and even a complaint.

Still, the restorer does not want to take anything back: “If I had known what caused it, I would have done it differently – but I will not be intimidated!

I just don’t like these people. Vegans scold me for having a lobster tank. Arabs address my staff. Why should I put up with that?”

Rage presenter invited to discussion board about racism
Lercher has now been invited to a public round of discussion by Aron Stiehl, head of Klagenfurt’s municipal theater: “We are starting this about racism and want to talk about how it can come to this. But it’s not about assigning blame.”

The pizzeria owner confirms the invitation: “In the email I was provocatively asked whether Jews and gays were also excluded from my home. People seriously think I’m racist. I’m not. For years I have lived abroad and with people from other cultures, but when I’m bullied by guests in my own restaurant, I fight back!”
