A 32-year-old man from Vienna made a shocking discovery on Sunday afternoon when he returned to his home in Vienna-Floridsdorf after a skiing holiday. There lay the dead 31-year-old woman. According to police, the body had serious head and stab wounds.
“It must be assumed that a violent crime has been committed. The coroner is on the scene, the forensic investigation is still ongoing,” said police spokesman Markus Dittrich on Sunday evening. The 32-year-old was questioned by police. He reported that he had been away from home for a few days and had just returned from skiing with a large group of people. “It cannot be ruled out that a third party committed the crime or was involved in it,” said the spokesman.
