According to the first information from “Krone”, the suspect of Polish nationality, who was arrested Monday evening after the murder of the young woman in Floridsdorf, is suspected of having committed both murders. Murder case in Vienna-Donaustadt
Heinrich Burggasser was head of Alpha Pharmacy, which is also in the house where the 74-year-old lived and where he was found dead on New Year’s Day. The circumstances of his death have remained a mystery until now. The victim had spent New Year’s Eve with friends and celebrated New Year’s Eve. According to their information, the last contact was at 0:30 am.
After that, however, the pensioner could no longer be reached. His body was found on New Year’s Day. Police cited the cause of death as blunt trauma, but there were no signs of a break-in at the home.
Young mother found dead in Floridsdorf
On Sunday evening, the young mother was found dead in her apartment in Floridsdorf by her husband, who had previously been on a skiing holiday, with stab wounds and head injuries. The two daughters, aged three and five, are said to have also stayed in the apartment.

Concrete suspicion
A short time later, the homeless Pole was arrested in an attempted burglary near the crime scene in Floridsdorf. There is – as reported – concrete suspicion in the case of the young woman. In addition, the management – apparently after the first interrogation of the suspect – locates a possible connection with the murder of the pharmacist. The alleged double murderer is being interrogated intensively by the police. DNA samples are also evaluated.
