A 70-year-old Waldviertel from Lower Austria was now on trial for assault. His opponent was acquitted of the dangerous threats charge.
A long-simmering dispute between two farmers escalated completely in mid-September. When the two got in each other’s way on a dirt road, instead of simply dodging each other, they drove their heavy companions to meet. True to the motto: an eye for an eye, tractor for tractor.

“He never evaded before, this time I remained stubborn,” said the 70-year-old. There is only room for a tractor on the site. After wild rants, the pensioner would have rudely pushed his opponent aside with the ball fork. ‘You belong in the dilapidated’, he then yelled at him.
Judicial aftermath
Now the two met again in court. For the 33-year-old, the encounter ended with bruises in the hip and an acquittal, for the 70-year-old with compensation of 500 euros and a probationary period of one year for negligent bodily harm.
