For the third day in a row, climate activists of the last generation staged a disruptive action in Vienna. After blockades for schools on Monday and the paralysis of the Viennese Praterstern on Tuesday, it was quiet at the Westbahnhof on Wednesday. The atmosphere on site was more than heated.
According to the police, the blockade took place at Westbahnhof and Europaplatz. It was “deployed with a larger number of troops to end disability as soon as possible,” it said on Twitter.
“It’s about our future – we won’t let ourselves be stopped,” said Last Generation Austria. They also released a video showing the disruptive effect on the belt. It was not very well received. Apparently there were attacks on the activists who had set up at the zebra crossings.
