A Conservative British MP has been suspended from his group for tweeting a comparison to the Holocaust. Andrew Bridgen had described the side effects of corona vaccinations as “the greatest crime against humanity since the Holocaust”.
Bridgen “crossed a line” in his criticism of corona vaccinations and spreading false information, said Simon Hart, who is responsible for group discipline at the Tories. “As a nation we can be very proud of what the vaccination program has achieved. The vaccine is the best defense against Covid we have.” Misinformation would cause damage and cost lives.
In particular, Bridgen, 58, tweeted an alleged statistic about the side effects of coronavirus vaccines, writing: “As a consulting cardiologist told me, this is the greatest crime against humanity since the Holocaust.”
He was just kicked out of parliament on Tuesday
Bridgen was banned from parliament for five days on Tuesday for breaking rules on disclosure of financial interests.
