On the way, they had broken into lockers and cupboards, after which the burglars emptied the cash register. The coup was only noticed in the morning. It is not yet clear how much money the gang has stolen. “We were able to secure traces at the scene of the crime,” said the detectives of the Mattersburg Police Inspectorate.
Panels as targets for loot
Criminals targeted photovoltaic panels when they broke into a company’s tent camp in St. Margarethen in the Eisenstadt district. “The tarpaulin was cut open. When the loot was removed, the perpetrators may have been disturbed and fled,” said the police.
The business owner had sounded the alarm. Images from the surveillance camera showing three masked people were transferred to his mobile phone. The search for the trio turned up nothing.
