The list of accusations is long – from ambiguous WhatsApp messages to a slippery gift: the teacher who was fired the next day after talking to the parents is now suing the school operator: the municipality of Himberg.
He has been a music school teacher for over 30 years, 15 of which as a staff representative. “A veteran of this educational institution”, as his lawyer Johannes Bügler puts it. On the other hand, there are seven parents who accuse the 60-year-old of being verbally and physically close to schoolchildren and their mothers. Result: After a discussion with the parents, the dismissal was pronounced the next day.
Now the suspect counterattacked. He does not want to ignore the allegations and have his mail back: a lawsuit has been filed with a disputed value of 177,424 euros.
Numerous allegations, but the teacher never found out
When it comes to sorting out the allegations made at parents’ evening on December 22 last year, you can expect a long process. However, according to his legal representative, the suspended teacher was never informed of these allegations. On the contrary: he himself claims to be the victim of a targeted bullying campaign by the school principal. The suspect is now even suing the municipality of Himberg to continue his employment.
Short process

Mayor speaks to lawyer
The mayor of Himberg, Ernst Wendl, informed the municipal attorney that action was needed to “protect the students and the reputation of the school”. More details will be clarified in the ongoing process. In any case, the community’s lawyer, Klaus Perl, emphasizes that the allegations are serious. District Governor Peter Suchanek was also present at the parents’ evening in question and he also agreed to the resignation the next day.
The accusations in the vicinity of the music school are piling up
The “Krone” had already reported last December about another incident at a music school in which the director was in the line of fire. In the same month, a complaints ombudsman was established. It has since become known that the ombudsman of the music school, which has been active since December, has already received 31 complaints, two of which are about sexual motives.
