In the night from Sunday to Sunday, a 27-year-old threatened and injured his ex-partner in Kobenz (Murtal district) with a knife. The man was arrested.
Around 1 a.m., a police patrol was ordered to make a dangerous threat with a knife at a ball event. Initial investigations revealed that a 27-year-old from the Murtal district was suspected of threatening and injuring his ex-partner with a knife. There was also a valid boarding and approach ban for the suspect.
Woman sustained abdominal injuries
The 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion. Because the man was heavily under the influence of alcohol, the interrogation could not take place until the next day. The 20-year-old ex-partner suffered a superficial abdominal wound and went to hospital on her own, where she was treated on an outpatient basis.
The further investigation and the interrogations of the suspect and the witnesses have confirmed that the 27-year-old threatened his ex-partner with a knife and inflicted a minor injury to her abdomen.
Ex-partner immediately confessed
The man pleaded guilty to threats and bodily harm. He was taken to prison in Leoben on the order of the public prosecutor’s office and is being reported to the court for threats and bodily harm as well as other administrative violations.
