More than three years after a boy from France fell from the viewing platform of London’s Tate Modern museum, there is now good news. According to his family, the boy is making huge progress in terms of health. He can remember more things, blow out candles and play with his best friend, according to a status report on the fundraising website GoFundMe.
The then six-year-old was thrown from the tenth floor of the building by a young person in 2019 and suffered broken bones in his spine, arms and legs and a cerebral hemorrhage. In the latest update, his family writes about great improvements in mobility and breathing.
The boy is regularly examined by specialists, unfortunately further operations are likely to be necessary. However, he was even enrolled in a swimming pool and judo training under special supervision. “Our son has always loved sports, he is very happy to be able to do it.”
Offenders sentenced to 15 years in prison
Originally, the goal of 200,000 euros was spent on the donation side to support the child’s treatments. In fact, more than twice as much money has now been raised.
The perpetrator had pleaded guilty to attempted murder at the time and was sentenced to 15 years in prison, according to the Guardian. He was said to suffer from a personality disorder and was living in an assisted living facility at the time of the crime.
