Jürgen T. was beaten in front of a discotheque in Schattendorf in the Burgenland district of Mattersburg shortly before Christmas, and the 42-year-old father died a few days later. On Thursday morning, two boys were brought up as suspects – a large number of executives conducted a reconstruction of the course of events on the spot.
Scène Schattendorf, where the act took place in front of the discotheque. The first suspect gets off a prison guard bus at 9 a.m.: an 18-year-old Syrian who has been in Austria since the 2015 refugee crisis and lives in the district of Neunkirchen (Lower Austria). Then a 16-year-old from Burgenland is brought in, who would also have been involved in the scuffle with fatal consequences.
The possible course of events is reconstructed. A total of 24 people from the police, judiciary and prison guards are involved in the reconstruction.
