A rather unusual accident took place in Tschagguns in the Montafon on Thursday. A tractor went off the road while spreading salt, overturned and ended up in a steep meadow below the roadway. The 21-year-old driver was injured.
The young driver was driving his winter service car on Latschauerstrasse in Tschagguns around 6:20 am when the accident happened. For reasons that are still unclear, the tractor went over the edge of the road and fell down the slope. The tractor overturned.
Even freed from the vehicle
Fortunately, the young driver was trapped, but police could not say how badly he was injured. It is certain that the 21-year-old was able to free himself from the vehicle, but according to the police he seemed confused. As a precaution, he was taken to the state hospital in Bludenz after first aid. The Latschau fire brigade with two vehicles and ten people and the rescue team were in action for the rescue.
