Are you crazy? A drunk man allegedly urinated on a fellow passenger on an Air India plane. The Indian news agency ANI reports this on Thursday based on an employee of an airline. The airline allegedly banned him from flying for four months.
The case has sparked many shocked reactions in the Indian media and social networks. The airline Air India was accused of not acting quickly enough.
Man was drunk on flight
At the end of November, the drunk man is said to have urinated on an elderly woman during a flight from New York to Delhi in business class. Weeks later, a report was made to the police, local media reported.
May only sit in the crew seat
The woman said her clothes, shoes and luggage were soaked with urine. The cabin crew gave her airplane pajamas and socks, and as an alternate seat she was given a smaller crew seat instead of an empty first class seat.
Victim got money back after flight
The man’s employer said he was fired over the incident. He was also later arrested by the police in Bengaluru. Air India said at the time that an internal investigation was underway, that affected cabin crew were currently not included in the roster and that guidelines for the sale of alcohol on board were also being reviewed. They would also have refunded the ticket price to the woman.
