Arrest in London – attack on ex-minister: the perpetrator is a corona denier

Date:

Britain’s former health minister Matt Hancock has been insulted and assaulted on the London Underground by a man reportedly a coronavirus denier. The police arrested the 61-year-old perpetrator. He allegedly followed Hancock for minutes, sat next to him on the subway and pushed him. The ex-minister was not injured in the incident.

The newspaper ‘Daily Mail’ wrote that the alleged perpetrator was a known spreader of corona conspiracy theories.

He has already harassed former health minister Sajid Javid and government medical advisers Chris Whitty and Jonathan Van-Tam about their role in fighting the pandemic.

“Stop Misinformation”
Hancock’s spokesman said the politician rarely witnessed such behavior. It is important to “put an end to the unfounded disinformation that is doing so much damage”. Hancock was in office for much of the pandemic, eventually resigning for violating self-imposed social distancing rules. Most recently, the 44-year-old was suspended by the Conservative parliamentary group for his participation in the British TV jungle camp.
