The man who killed fashion czar Rudolph Moshammer in Munich has been deported to his country of origin, Iraq. There he is free again. The killer had previously spent 18 years in a German prison.
The Iraqi Air plane left Frankfurt airport for Baghdad on Thursday afternoon. The 43-year-old was very calm and peaceful as he boarded the car, a dpa federal police spokesman said. The man’s identity had previously been recognized by Iraq – a condition for his deportation. He got a replacement passport.

Lawyer Adam Ahmed said his mandate wanted the eviction. He will leave the plane in his country of origin a free man. Moshammer’s killer had been in prison for 18 years. He is no longer allowed to enter Germany.
The murder of Rudolph Moshammer in January 2005 caused horror. Moshammer, who has never made his homosexuality public, had approached the then 25-year-old perpetrator on the street in central Munich. The Iraqi came to the fashion designer’s home in the Munich suburb of Grünwald and strangled 64-year-old Moshammer with a power cable. There would have been a dispute about money for sexual services.
Moshammer owned a boutique and was also known in Munich for his social commitment, such as for the homeless and alcoholics.
