Soccer club helps – Three days before Anna’s 10th birthday, her father died

Date:

Jürgen B., a family man from Dietach (Upper Austria), was found dead in his bathroom at home after visiting a cabaret. He leaves behind three children and a grieving widow. The local football club now supports the family with its own donation account.

“Jürgen was just a wonderful and kind-hearted person,” says Daniel Mooser, a close friend of the B. family from Dietach. For whom nothing is the same since Saturday. Jürgen B., a loving father and great football fan, died unexpectedly. “We were at the cabaret with our wives on Friday and had a lot of fun,” says Mooser, his voice trembling.

Jürgen was found dead in the bathroom around 5 a.m. on Saturday by his wife Bianca. “We just can’t believe it, he was like a brother to me,” said Mooser.

House was decorated for friends daughter
Particularly dramatic: Anna, the middle child of the father of three, was born just three days after the fateful birthday. “We tried to give her a nice birthday anyway and soon in the morning we decorated everything in the house for her. It would have been in her father’s best interest if Anna still celebrated her birthday!”

Jürgen was a Dietach fan with heart and soul
The local football club was also taken aback by the surprising death of the 48-year-old. “We are all shocked,” said chairman Markus Sandmair. Although Jürgen never had an official position in the club, only his son Maxi (7) and before that Anna played in the Union Procon Dietach youth team. “He was a Salzburg and Dietach fan with heart and soul, always committed himself to everything and was always there for the club. He was not just a fan,” said President Willi Prechtl, deeply affected. Touching postscript: “He was such a likeable and loving person!”

Club supports family with donation account
The administrators of the club, which has been playing in the fourth performance level since this season, did not hesitate and set up its own donation account: AT533411480100418863. All money raised will go to Jürgen’s family.

“Even if we play in the Upper Austrian league and there are some professional structures already in place. We are a very informal club, for us it goes without saying that we make a small contribution and support the family. It just has to be a sign, we can’t relieve them of their worries. But at least we can contribute something to the funeral costs,” says Prechtl.
