The rescued bitch and her puppies were temporarily taken to an animal shelter, most of which have since been taken. Other four-legged friends are still waiting for a home
It is thanks to an attentive animal lover that six puppies and their mother were saved from an uncertain fate. The woman had discovered the fur nose and her sweet offspring in a neglected yard in Vienna and immediately informed the vet Susanne Gisel. They immediately took the initiative and picked up the poor animals. But because it was the weekend and many facilities were closed, she called Eleonore Schandl’s pet boarding house and asked if she could take over the four-legged friends. Schandl immediately took care of it and on the same day “Stella” – as the vet had baptized the dog mom – was in Draßmarkt.
Husky ladies are looking for homes
“They were fully dewormed and deflead,” says Schandl. The animals were nursed back to health and in the meantime all puppies could be given away. Stella should also find a nice home soon. Meanwhile, four husky ladies who are also housed in the pet boarding house are looking for another one. They were adopted from Lower Austria because the owner can no longer care for the two-year-old furry friends. “All four are neutered and chipped,” says Schandl.
