For unknown reasons, a motorist left the road in Lavanttal (Carinthia) on Saturday morning and ended up in a stream bed. The woman had to be freed from the car by firefighters.
The 82-year-old was sitting on a municipal road in St. Andrä around 7:50 a.m. on Saturday when she left the roadway for unknown reasons. The car then flipped over and came to rest on its side in a creek bed.
Stuck in the vehicle
“The woman from Wolfsberg was trapped in the car and had to be freed by the emergency services with mountain shears,” says a police officer. She was admitted to the LKH Wolfsberg with unknown injuries.
The volunteer fire brigades of St. Andrä, St. Marein and Fischering were also deployed with 42 men.
