Abuse, violence, assaults in schools and kindergartens – all institutions across the country should develop or maintain child protection concepts. This requirement has been around for a long time, but implementation is now emphatically required and will become mandatory. In Upper Austria there is already a concept that invites “copying”.
The focus soon falls on Upper Austria, where the Familienbund was the first organization to develop a child protection concept for all its childcare facilities and integrate it into daily work. “It is just over 20 pages long and provides instructions in clear language for dealing with everyday life and also what to do if something happens,” explains Elisabeth Zehetner of the family association.
