Rows of ski accidents took place on the slopes of Tyrol on Sunday: In Sölden in the Ötztal, the emergency services had to turn out more often – among other things, a holidaymaker “mowed” his father-in-law down there. In Lermoos in the Ausserfern, a ski instructor was rammed by a Ukrainian.
The series of operations in Sölden began around 11 a.m.: A 54-year-old Dane was driving with his son-in-law (22) on slope No. 38 on the Tiefenbachferner in the direction of the valley when the two suddenly got into each other’s way. The father-in-law fell and suffered serious injuries.
Three quarters of an hour later there was another crash on the glacier: a German (43) collided with a 34-year-old Bulgarian, injuring the latter. After the first aid, he had to be flown by emergency doctor helicopter to the hospital in Zams.
German crashed, Czech crashed into fence
Two people were injured in a collision around 12.45 p.m. on the Tiefenbachferner. A German (34) collided with a compatriot (52). The skier was taken to a local doctor by the piste rescue service – the man also had to be flown by helicopter to hospital in Zams.
And at 2 pm a Czech (68) fell on a black slope on the Gaislachkogel, after which he slid into the valley and finally landed with his head on a wooden fence. The man, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by helicopter to the clinic in Innsbruck.
Ski instructor rammed in the Ausserfern
Serious skiing accident also in Lermoos in the Tyrolean district of Reutte: A Ukrainian woman (25) collided with a Dutch ski instructor on the practice slope of the local ski school, causing both women to fall. The worker suffered injuries and had to see a doctor.
A collision in the Zillertal caused serious injuries: around 11 a.m., two locals aged 12 and 25 collided in Kaltenbach. The 25-year-old got worse, he had to be transferred to the Hochrum sanatorium after an initial examination by a local doctor.
