Incomprehensible! How heartless can some people be? Time and again, animals in Austria are simply abandoned and left to fend for themselves. Especially shocking when it gets thrown in the trash.
The ICARA animal rescue service had to leave again at the weekend: a cage was parked in a garbage room on Karl-Steiger-Strasse in Linz. Inside a small, emaciated hamster. As if it were bulky waste, there was a note on it: “Free to collect”.
Taken to the animal shelter
The cute crook was rescued and handed over to the experienced hands of the Linz animal shelter. There was a bad general condition. The rodent probably has a fungal disease and its abdominal glands are inflamed. It is probably an older specimen that has not had veterinary care for a long time.
