Most drivers have already become accustomed to the fact that city politicians in Klagenfurt are trying to calm traffic in many areas. But a 30 km/h zone on the busy Südring on the edge of the city comes as a surprise.
Even the speaker doesn’t know about it
At the shopping mall in front of the stadium, the drivers actually have to take their foot off the gas pedal. But the responsible speaker, Sandra Wassermann, knows nothing about it: “The traffic sign is on private property and was not ordered by the city.”
Apparently a local resident slowed down speeders on his own initiative. Waterman: “We will ask the homeowner to remove the sign immediately. It can’t work like this!”
