Russia delivers new negotiating proposal to Ukraine

The Ukrainian president has stated that he has not received a written offer from Russia for a negotiated solution to the conflict.

Russian government spokesman Dimitri Peskov reported that Russian negotiators handed over draft document to Ukrainian sidethough without specifying more details about its contents.

“The ball is in your side, we are waiting for a response,” he continued, before assuring that, in terms of deadlines, “it depends on the Ukrainian side.”

In this sense, according to the Interfax news agency, he has emphasized that “the work dynamics on the Ukrainian side leave a lot to be desired”. “The Ukrainians show no great inclination to intensify the negotiation process,” he continued, recalling that the president, Vladimir Putin, has already criticized the Ukrainian negotiators’ “constantly deviating from the previously confirmed agreements, from their words, and they are constantly changing”.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, confirmed yesterday that he has not received a written offer from Russia for a negotiated solution to the conflict. “I have heard nothing, I have seen nothing. I am convinced that they have not given us anything,” said the Ukrainian president.
