Serious traffic accident Monday evening in the Tyrolean Ausserfern: a 34-year-old resident lost control of her car in winter conditions, came into the oncoming lane and hit the car of a German (27). The latter then crashed into the adjacent embankment, on which her car overturned.
The accident happened shortly before 8 p.m. near Lermoos. The 34-year-old Tyrolean was driving on the B187 Ehrwalder Straße in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen when the rear of the car broke off to the right on a left turn. “Due to countersteering, the rear swerved to the left. The vehicle then ended up in the oncoming lane and collided with the 27-year-old’s oncoming car,” police said.
The German, who wanted to dodge, eventually crashed into the adjacent dike. The impact caused the car to flip over and come to a stop on the driver’s side of the road.
Injured with rescue to hospital
The 27-year-old suffered minor injuries. After first aid at the scene of the accident, she was taken by ambulance to the district hospital of Reutte.
