A 54-year-old man who lived illegally with his partner and six children in a basement alley in Hadres in Lower Austria was questioned again on Tuesday. A DNA test must also show whether the man is actually the biological father of the children.
A result should be available in about ten days, said district chief Karl-Josef Weiss. The man’s data should be further checked, the police said when asked. For example, the subject of the investigation by the authority should have been the origin of the children. There are no registration forms or birth certificates.
Children “in a safe place”
How long the couple and the children between the ages of seven months and five years have lived in the press house with the attached cellar shaft, “we don’t know,” said the district chief. This may have been the case since Christmas. The children were still in the care of the district administration — “in a safe place,” Weiss stated.
The suspected Rijksburger wanted to prepare for an emergency
The Austrian is said to be a suspected citizen of the Reich. The 54-year-old has posted several videos on TikTok, in which he also gives an insight into the building and shows the huge stock of food and cosmetics. He wants to be prepared for emergencies, he says in a recording. He and his partner are “not preppers, but responsible parents”.

An administrative criminal case is pending against the man. Since the wine cellars cannot be used for residential purposes, according to Weiss, proceedings are pending against the 54-year-old. He is also reported to the public prosecutor’s office on suspicion of resistance to state authority and because of the pepper spray attack on officials for serious bodily harm.
Attacked with pepper spray
In response to complaints from residents, a representative of the district council and an employee of the municipal office checked the address on Thursday afternoon. The 54-year-old then attacked the two with pepper spray. The employees called the police. The man would have barricaded himself with the children in the wine cellar. The building was searched by order of the public prosecutor’s office. There were the man’s 40-year-old partner and six children.
