The unions that make up the union majority at the negotiating table for the Bizkaia metal deal, CCOO, LAB and UGT, held meetings of their respective affiliates this Wednesday endorsing the new proposal presented by the Basque government at the third meeting of the mediation process between the parties promoted by the executive of Vitoria-Gasteiz.

The three unions have announced in a short note that the proposal of the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Basque Government has been ratified in all meetings.

In this way they join the governing bodies of the Biscayan Federation of Metal Companies, FVEMwho have also given the green light to the Basque government’s proposal for the Bizkaia metal deal, which affects more than 50,000 workers.

In a press release, the FVEM has ensured that this endorsement “represents a significant effort on the part of companies” and that it is accepted “from a perspective that is committed to the future, to the industry and to the people who work in the sector.” to work “.
