Holy Week is from April 17 to 21 and Santiago (July 25, Friday) is a public holiday. August 15 and December 8 fall on Friday and Monday respectively, making for a long weekend.
The acting Basque government approved the work calendar in the government council on Tuesday 2025. They are collected 12 holidaysthe same as this year, to which we must add the local festivities
As approved, October 12 will not appear this year because it is a Sunday. For the rest, the calendar offers the opportunity to take a single bridgeall the May 1 falls on a Thursday next year.
However, there will be more options extend the weekend. July 25 (Santiago) and August 15 (Asunción) are Friday and December 8 is Monday. In 2025, as in 2024, there will be no “macro bridge” in December (the 6th is Saturday).
The Easter It will be later than this year as it will be held from April 17 to 21.
Moreover, both November 1 and December 6 fall on a Saturday.
This is the list of the 12 holidays:
– January 1 (New Year, Wednesday) – January 6 (Three Kings Day, Monday) – April 17 (Holy Thursday) – April 18 (Good Friday) – April 21 (Easter Monday) – May 1 (Worker’s Day, Thursday) – July 25 (Santiago, Friday) – August 15 (Asunción, Friday) – November 1 (All Saints’ Day, Saturday) – December 6 (Constitution Day, Saturday) – December 8 (Immaculata, Monday) – December 25 (Christmas, Thursday)
