Despite the prescribed speed limit of 50, a young woman from Linz should have driven her car quite quickly on the B139 in Neuhofen an der Krems. She pulled into the oncoming lane and her car collided with another car. Record: three injured.
A 21-year-old from Linz drove a car in Neuhofen/Krems on the B139 towards Haid at around 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday. A 20-year-old from the Linz-Land district was in the passenger seat. At the same time, a 36-year-old from the Linz-Land district was also driving a car on the B139, coming from Haid in the direction of Neuhofen. In the curve area at Dambach 29 (permitted speed 50 km/h), the 21-year-old ended up in the oncoming lane and collided with the 36-year-old’s car.
Thrown into green space
Both cars were thrown into the adjacent green area, where they came to a stop. All three people involved were injured in the accident and were taken to the Wels-Grieskirchen Kliniek and the Kepler University Clinic in Linz after first aid from the ÖRK Traun and the ÖRK Neuhofen/Krems. There was serious damage to the vehicle.
No alcohol test possible
Due to the serious injuries of the 21-year-old, an alcohol test could not be carried out at the scene. Follow-up studies will follow.
