Accident on Friday morning in Hard in the Vorarlberg district of Bregenz: A country bus, in which there were two primary school classes and a kindergarten group including supervisors, collided with a truck when turning – the driver must have overlooked the heavy vehicle.
According to the police, the accident happened around 9:15 am in the area where Rheinstrasse intersects the country road. There were a total of 36 children on the bus. The driver of the truck tried to avoid a collision with an emergency stop and an evasive maneuver. However, he failed to do so and a collision ensued.
Four children and two adults complained of mild pain after the accident, police said. The severity of the injuries was not immediately clear. The two drivers were unharmed.

As a result, the road section had to be temporarily closed. The Hard fire brigade was involved in the operation with three vehicles and 20 people, the Red Cross with two vehicles and five people.
