Dense fog disrupted air traffic at Innsbruck airport on Friday morning. All machines were delayed – no plane could land from 10 am. In the course of the morning the fog finally lifted.
In the morning it was not too bad, a press spokeswoman for the airport told the “Krone”. The flights to Vienna and Frankfurt with scheduled departures at 06:30 and 06:45 could still start.
All flights delayed
But then dense fog moved in across the country – and into the Innsbruck airport area. As a result, there were no more take-offs and landings (from 10 a.m.). All flights – for example to and from Antwerp, Rotterdam or Amsterdam – were described as “delayed” on the airport’s website.
The fog gradually dissipated as the morning progressed. The first plane from Amsterdam landed at 10:30 am.
