An eight-year-old, nine-year-old and eleven-year-old child were probably on their way to school: They were hit by a car at 6:45 a.m. on Thursday morning as they crossed a protective path in Marburger Straße in Weiz. However, the driver did not stop and simply left the scene of the accident.
87-year-old investigated
But not without traces: a mirror cap and a license plate. This allowed the police to investigate an 87-year-old from the Weiz district. Everything went very fast. After the collision, he said he had not seen anyone at the scene of the accident. Why did he continue? He may have overlooked the children on the protective path.
