A 29-year-old from the Linz-Land district transferred a low six-figure euro amount to a woman in several installments to receive a porn video of her. The movie never got to him and he never saw his money again – despite the installment plan the lady sent him as above. This was reported by the police on Monday.
From October 2022 to the beginning of February this year, the man transferred money to his internet acquaintance several times, always assuming that he would then receive a video with suggestive content. After each transfer, the woman stated that she still needed more money for doctor, gas and apartment bills, until finally a little over $100,000 was collected.
The management advises to always behave suspiciously on the internet, especially when it comes to money demands, never to be put under pressure and to always contact friends or family or contact the police at the slightest suspicion.
