The Basque government will hold a meeting with the hospitality and trade sector before August 25 to work on the contingency plan it is preparing with additional austerity measures, as announced by the Minister of Tourism and Trade, Javier Hurtado.
In addition, the Vaso government does not rule out the launch of new tools, according to counsel. Hurtado has even asked the Spanish government to convene sectoral conferences to share the measures already in place and analyze how new aid can be implemented.
Regarding the decree that will take effect this midnight, he stressed that, despite the “controversy”, it contains measures “that are positive for the companies themselves, which many of them have already implemented” and that allow them to save.
On the other hand, the Basque government has called for a collective effort to tackle the energy crisis.
