A dog had to stay in a parked car in front of a shopping center in Lower Austria this weekend in warm temperatures of 29 degrees. Concerned passers-by alerted the emergency services.
At summer temperatures of 29 degrees, passers-by raised the alarm in Ebreichsdorf in the Baden district on Saturday because they saw a dog in a parked vehicle in front of a shopping center parking lot. In any case, the side windows of the driver’s and passenger’s doors of the car were slightly open.
Still, the four-legged friend made a bad impression. The concerned passers-by started looking for the driver – unfortunately without success. Eventually they alerted the police, who also asked the fire brigade for help.

“When we arrived on the scene, the police had already opened the vehicle through the open side windows. We then got into the car, opened the trunk from the inside and brought the dog outside,” says Commander Michael Ditzer of the Ebreichsdorf fire brigade.
Shortly after the rescue, the vehicle’s owner also showed up and had to be questioned by police.
