The salaries of staff working in the public sector of the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) will increase this 2023 2.5%as agreed today by the Basque government.
The increase was announced by Executive Branch spokesman Bingen Zupiria at the usual post-government press conference.
This wage increase did not receive the support of the trade unions at the negotiating table, which they considered “insufficient” given the rise in the CPI. In this sense, Zupiria has reminded that it comes from a decision of the Spanish government and that “not much more room” for action in this regard.
