Launch from Hainan – The US military knew the route of the Chinese balloon

Date:

According to a media report, the US military observed the trajectory of the crashed Chinese balloon for a good week before it entered US airspace in late January. The balloon took off from its home base on the southern Chinese island of Hainan.

He initially took a trajectory that seemed to take him across the US territory of Guam, which is home to several US military bases, according to the Washington Post. But then he unexpectedly took a northerly course. The balloon later hovered over the Aleutian Islands of Alaska and then drifted over Canada, from where it appeared to have been blown by strong winds towards the mainland United States.

Really just natural?
According to the report, analysts are now exploring the possibility that China did not intentionally invade the US interior with its “surveillance apparatus”. A US fighter jet shot down the balloon off the coast of South Carolina on February 4. China had rejected accusations of espionage by the US and spoke of a research bubble that had gone off course due to “force majeure”.

Relationship deteriorates, Biden in criticism
The ballooning incident further worsened the already tense relationship between the United States and China. In the guesswork about the unidentified flying objects over North America, the pressure on US President Joe Biden also increased. The president must be more transparent, politicians from both political camps demand Tuesday (local time). So far, Biden has not commented on the three planes shot down over US and Canadian airspace between Friday and Sunday.

Instead, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said there was no evidence the missiles were spying. However, it is not yet known where the objects came from and why they were in the sky.
