Apparently, a motorist in Vienna-Liesing took the McDrive concept, which has proven itself particularly in large cities, too seriously on Friday. At around 10:40 a.m., the driver crashed into the entrance of a McDonald’s store with his car. According to the driver, the accident must have been just a stupid accident…
Fortunately, the rush to the McDonald’s branch for lunch is often not too great. At least for those in Vienna-Liesing, where the accident happened on Friday. And that was a good thing – so no other people got hurt.
Brake and accelerator pedal together
Why the man crashed into the entrance of the branch was quickly clarified thanks to a ‘Krone’ reader-reporter. The driver’s car suddenly rolled towards the branch when parking because the man had confused the brake and accelerator pedals. A photo of the branch shows that there is extensive damage to the glass facade.
Caution is also advised when parking the car.
