Persecution ended in Linz – beaten, imprisoned, raped, fled

Date:

A 20-year-old in Linz has been martyred for a year and a half and would probably still be living in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend. If she hadn’t fled to the roof from him at Christmas. That’s how it all came about.

That happened quickly: On last year’s Stefani Day, a 20-year-old in Linz fled from her violent boyfriend to the roof of a four-storey house on Untere Donaulände – a passerby heard her cries for help, the fire brigade came with the rotating ladder and saved the young woman.

The Linz public prosecutor’s office has now completed the indictment and it is clear that this was not an isolated case. But on the contrary. The 20-year-old has suffered martyrdom for at least a year and a half, but apparently she couldn’t escape the abusive relationship with her boyfriend, who is five years her senior.

gun pulled over his head
He already has two relevant criminal records and is said to have regularly beaten his partner. He also used a shoehorn and a screwdriver for this, once he is said to have pulled the butt of a gun over her head. Moreover, he would have locked her in the apartment again and again. That’s not all: the 25-year-old allegedly raped his girlfriend several times in the relationship.

Now the suspect is being charged with continued violence and rape – the charges are not yet final. Penalties: Up to 10 years in prison.
