A 14-year-old boy was ambushed in Vienna-Penzing on Friday evening. Several young people ambushed the boy, immediately attacked him with punches and robbed him. When passers-by noticed the robbery, the perpetrators fled.
According to the police, the 14-year-old must have known at least one of the people involved who had lured him to Albert-Schweitzer-Gasse under a pretext around 7 p.m. The youths beat their victim and demanded that the boy’s fanny pack be handed over. Then they fled.
The 14-year-old then called the police himself, who arrested two young people nearby. One of the two, a 16-year-old Austrian, was identified as a suspect. The further investigation against the still fugitive and partly unknown perpetrators is still ongoing.
