A bloody quarrel ended Sunday afternoon in Vienna: five men attacked each other in an apartment and a knife was involved. Three people were injured, some seriously.
The act happened around noon on Leopoldauer Strasse in Floridsdorf. The five Syrians, aged between 24 and 26, got into an argument in the apartment for unknown reasons and it got completely out of hand. The men attacked each other, three of them suffered knife wounds to the upper body. One of the victims even suffered life-threatening injuries.
Police officers arrived on the scene a short time later. Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, sources said. The three injured were taken to hospital after first aid. A rescue helicopter was also present.
Investigations into the background to the crime are ongoing.
