“Such a rat”: – Alice Schwarzer insulted the ZDF reporter so wildly

Date:

Alice Schwarzer (80) also caused a sensation in Berlin, except for her initiated demo for peace negotiations with Russia on Saturday. The German women’s rights activist called a ZDF reporter a “rat” and a “cliché.

The reporter was Fabian Köster, a German comedy writer and comedian. Like Peter Klien on the ORF, Köster tries to upset celebrities and politicians at events with provocative questions about the ZDF “hot show”.

“You’re such a cliché man, I’m bored”
One of Köster’s “victims” at Saturday’s demo was also said to be black. But the 80-year-old brushed off the reporter on the first attempt to ask a question. “I can see on their faces that they are satisfied. And that you think you are important. Only, you are such a cliché, it bores me,” Schwarzer interrupted the young ZDF man. As she left she said – turning to Köster – “What a rat.”

The journalist collective “Democratia Berlin” made the incident public on Twitter and posted a video clip of Schwarzer’s “rat” saying on YouTube (see tweet below).

Thousands marched with Wagenknecht and Schwarzer
Thousands of people demonstrated Saturday afternoon at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin for peace negotiations with Russia. The black and left-wing politician Sahra Wagenknecht had called for the meeting. The police spoke of about 13,000 participants, the organizers of about 50,000. . In their speeches, both called for a ceasefire and peace negotiations with Russia and for an end to arms shipments to Ukraine.

Schwarzer rated the rally a “massive success”. “I am completely happy,” the women’s rights activist told the German news agency on Saturday evening. “It was such a peaceful and happy atmosphere. No partisan mood, no sectarian mood. There were just middle-class people who had come from all over Germany to lead by example.” When John Lennon’s “Imagine” played at the end, she would have loved to dance on stage, Schwarzer said.

Schwarzer said of the vote on Saturday that she “went through a flood of warmth and approval” on her way to a cafe. People thanked her for finally giving them a chance to express their deep concern about an escalation of the war in Ukraine. Schwarzer said she saw no right-wing extremists at the rally. Of course, she cannot rule out the possibility that there were individual rightists, but that could only have been a small minority.
