The GTI meeting is dead – long live the GTI meeting. Even if it is a bit smaller, there is an “official” event for tuning fans at Lake Wörthersee this year. A Bavarian car tuner rented the Pyramidenkogel parking lot on May 13.
“Wörthersee remains Wörthersee! It doesn’t matter where there are alternative events – nothing comes close to the lake and Carinthia,” explains Andreas Pfeffer, head of the Bavarian tuning shop gedepfeffert.com, in a YouTube video. “That’s why we rented the Pyramidenkogel parking lot on May 13 and clarified everything else.” The event is planned as a gathering for friends and must take place without excessive noise. “We have always distanced ourselves from shooting and rubber,” confirms Pfeffer. “We just want to see old friends and nice cars again.”
The Bavarian tuner appeals to GTI fans not to despair over the community’s cancellation: “We can still drive our cars to the lake – the frame is just smaller.” Fans can come.
