Dornbirn city police are warning of an unknown man who allegedly spoke to students in front of two schools in Hatlerdorf on Wednesday. He tried to lure a student guide with chocolate. The man would drive a white van.
The incidents allegedly took place in front of Mittelfeld Elementary School and Leopold Elementary School. “We received two reports from two schools. Therefore, we have to assume that something happened,” says Andreas Giesinger of the Dornbirn city police when asked by “Krone”. What exactly the stranger wanted is not clear. That is why the police are asking for information.
“The horror idea is that he wants to hurt the kids. But it could also be that he thinks the work of the student guides is very good and wants to reward them with a piece of chocolate. Which is of course completely out of place,” Giesinger explains possible motives.

He can understand that the alarm bells are ringing with the parents of primary school students. The city police was therefore already present for the schools on Wednesday and Thursday morning and afternoon. The information given to parents through the school information system “Schoolfox” led to more reports of similar incidents. “However, many do not fit together. We received countless pieces of information that would have happened in several places at the same time.”
