Sahra Wagenknecht (53) has experience with “Aneck positions”: “Since when has the call for peace been justified?”, the politician (Die Linke) says through the microphone to her critics. Together with women’s rights activist Alice Schwarzer, she invited to the peace demonstration in Berlin. Locally, left-wing pacifists and center voters are in the majority, but conspiracy freaks and right-wing extremists are also present. There are between 13,000 (according to the police) and 50,000 people (according to the organizers). But Wagenknecht shows a straight back even when there is a headwind – both on stage in front of the Brandenburger Tor and in talk shows: “With every weapon we deliver to the powder keg, the danger of world war increases.”
