Prosecco lovers should be strong now: Monday morning there was a collision between a truck and a concrete mixer on the Inntalautobahn in the Tyrolean Unterland. The truck had a “splashing” load on board – numerous bottles spilled onto the road. The result was a long backlog.
The accident happened around 10.15 am on the A12 near Münster (Kufstein district). According to initial information, the collision took place when the driver of the Polish truck wanted to drive onto the Autobahn from the Münster-Süd parking lot. Apparently the driver of the concrete mixer could no longer ignore it. The impact tore open the tarpaulin of the truck’s trailer.
Part of the cargo – countless boxes of Prosecco bottles – fell on the road. The first lane was blocked and therefore had to be closed.
Kilometers of backwater
According to the police, the accident caused a backlog of kilometers. Asfinag and the towing service spent a long time clearing and recovering. The two truck drivers were apparently unharmed.
