Shards and an attack: the aftermath of an unsatisfactory visit to the auto repair shop. Two men stormed into the workshop in Vienna on Monday afternoon, each armed with a hammer, smashed a window and assaulted workers.
A witness saw the scenes unfold before his eyes around 1:30 p.m. in the Hernals district. Two men pulled up in front of the workshop, jumped out of a car and entered the building with hammers. One of them was a visibly very dissatisfied customer of the workshop, who did not agree with the result of the valuation of his car – which was negative – and who had threatened before.
After the window was smashed and the employee was attacked, who was apparently unharmed, the two men fled. They didn’t get far. During the manhunt, the two were eventually stopped in the Meidling district. The suspects – a 46-year-old Austrian and a 33-year-old Romanian – were arrested and subsequently reported. The investigation is ongoing.
