A 26-year-old army service dog handler had left the four young dogs at his grandmother’s apartment in Graz in late January; locked in two rooms according to his own statements. What happened then, how the bite attack occurred and, above all, what prompted it, there is still no reliable knowledge.
According to the police, the 70-year-old, who was seriously injured, could still not be questioned extensively for clarification. The neglected, emaciated four-legged friends and some cats were then removed from the completely littered apartment by the authorities and taken away.
Specialist is himself a police officer
As reported, the Belgian Shepherd Dogs have been taken over by Georg Resch, who specializes in problem dogs with his “RG Dogs” at Hartberg. And the expert, who is a police officer himself, trains dogs for international special forces. “These four may also be considered,” Resch said. ‘Or I’ll keep them myself, because we’ve built up a close bond.’
