Presumably someone looked too deeply into the glass: a 47-year-old Tyrolean lost control of his Mercedes on Thursday evening and ended up on the guardrail next to the road. A breathalyzer test was positive.
The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on the B181 (Achenseestraße) near Wiesing in the Schwaz district. The 47-year-old resident was driving his car towards Achensee when he suddenly lost control of the wheel and went off the road.
Slipped over the guardrail
“The car then hit the guardrail and slid past it before coming to a stop,” police said. The driver sustained injuries.
Driver was drunk
After first aid at the scene of the accident, the 47-year-old was transported by ambulance to Schwaz hospital. “A breathalyzer test on him was positive,” the detectives said.
