sidenor has acquired Aguilar Metal Recycling-AMR, a Valencian company specializing in industrial scrap, as reported by the Basque steel company.
According to Sidenor, the purchase will increase its capacity to: treatment of metal waste and make sure the continuous supply of industrial scrap quality.
AMR is a centuries-old company specializing in the recovery and recycling of metallic and non-metallic waste, mainly from companies associated with the automotive sector. It is also a waste management service provider within them.
The AMR company is located in the Valencian city of Sagunto, in an important scrap producing area due to the presence of car factories and with an excellent logistics location, 300 meters from the port and 5 kilometers from the freight train terminal.
Sidenor has not provided the figures for the operation, which will be finalized in the second quarter of 2022.
