In Rottenmann in Styria, an accident happened in its own four walls on Monday. A man fell through the floor or ceiling in his basement.
Unsuspectingly, the pensioner made his way from the living room to the basement. Arriving on the mezzanine, there was a sudden loud bang and the man fell down along with the floor.
Knockboard as a call for help
He lay dazed, but drew attention to a knock. Two people who wanted to visit him noticed the man’s situation and alerted the fire brigade.
He rescued the man and handed him over to the care of the rescue service. The man was in shock and was taken to the LKH Rottenmann. The exact cause of the collapse is still unclear.
